To enter Heide Museum of Modern Art, you need to:

  • Show proof that you have received TWO doses of a COVID-19 vaccine OR that you hold a certified medical exemption. (Please note, you may be required to show photo ID depending on your ticket type or form of certified documents). Children under 12 are not required to be vaccinated.

  • Check-in using the Service Victoria QR code

Tickets are available to book online using the button below or you can purchase at the main reception desk when you arrive.

Before visiting we ask that you:

  • Download the Service Victoria app for easy QR check in.

  • Bring a credit or debit card for any on-site purchases.

  • Do not visit if you’re unwell or, if in the last 14 days you have experienced cold or flu symptoms, returned from overseas, been instructed by health authorities to isolate or are a close contact of an identified COVID case.

  • Check the Victorian Government’s list of exposure sites and do not attend if you have visited a Tier 1 or Tier 2 location.

When you are at the Museum:

  • Please arrive on time and start your visit at the main entrance of the Heide Galleries.

  • Scan the QR code displayed at the main entrance using the Service Victoria app. Show the confirmation screen to our staff as you enter, along with proof of your vaccination status (or medical exemption).

  • If you don’t have access to a smartphone please see a staff member who will make a record of your contact details. You'll need to show printed proof of your vaccination status or medical exemption along with photo ID.

  • Once checked in and your ticket has been processed you will be given a wristband for access to all exhibitions across the site. Please wear this wristband for the duration of your visit.

  • Access to Heide Modern and Heide Cottage are not timed but you will need to show your wristband to staff to show that you have checked in at the main entrance.

  • Masks are no longer required to be worn in the museum, however, they are still required to be worn in the Heide Shop, for all visitors aged 12+. For more information see the Victorian Government website.

  • Masks are no longer required in the cafe. Separate QR code sign in at the cafe is required.

  • Help us to maintain social distancing within our buildings and grounds by keeping at least 1.5 metres space between you and others at all times and not entering a room if it is not possible to safely socially distance.

  • Please use the hand-sanitiser provided at each building on arrival.

  • Cloaking facilities will not be available so please do not bring large items of luggage with you.

It is a condition of entry that all visitors adhere to these requirements at all times during their visit.

Health and safety measures we are adhering to:

  • All onsite staff and volunteers are fully vaccinated.

  • We have removed some seating in the gallery spaces to allow for physical distancing. Folding chairs are available and cleaned regularly, please ask a Visitor Services staff member if you require a chair.

  • Cleaning of the site will be undertaken daily complying with DHHS and WorkSafe guidelines, with high touch areas sanitised frequently throughout the day.

  • All Visitor Services staff are trained in COVID-safe protocols.

  • We will continue to be guided by the Victorian Government’s health guidelines and will provide updates to this information.

  • We want everyone to feel safe when they visit Heide. Any individuals putting at risk our visitors, staff, volunteers or artworks will not be admitted or will be asked to leave.
