The health and safety of our visitors, members, staff and volunteers is our priority. Please read the following information carefully to help us protect everyone’s health.

Tickets are available to book online using the button below or you can purchase at the main reception desk when you arrive.

Before visiting we ask that you:

  • Do not visit if you’re unwell. If you are a close contact of an identified COVID-19 case you are required to complete five RATs over a seven day period after exposure, and are required to wear a mask indoors and outdoors.

  • Bring a credit or debit card for any on-site purchases.

When you are at the Museum:

  • Please start your visit at the main entrance of the Heide Galleries or the Heide Cottage and show your prepaid ticket or purchase a ticket.

  • You will be given a wristband for access to all exhibitions across the site. Please wear this wristband for the duration of your visit as you will need to show it to staff when entering the other galleries.

  • Masks are not required to be worn by visitors in the museum, however wearing a mask remains recommended particularly if you are unable to socially distance. For more information please see the Victorian Government website.

  • Help us to maintain social distancing within our buildings and grounds by keeping at least 1.5 metres space between you and others at all times and not entering a room if it is not possible to safely socially distance.

  • Please use the hand-sanitiser provided at each building on arrival.

  • Cloaking facilities will not be available so please do not bring large items of luggage with you.

It is a condition of entry that all visitors adhere to these requirements at all times during their visit.

Health and safety measures we are adhering to:

  • We have removed some seating in the gallery spaces to allow for physical distancing. Folding chairs are available and cleaned regularly, please ask a Visitor Services staff member if you require a chair.

  • Cleaning of the site will be undertaken daily.

  • All Visitor Services staff are trained in COVID-safe protocols.

  • We will continue to be guided by the Victorian Government’s health guidelines and will provide updates to this information.

  • We want everyone to feel safe when they visit Heide. Any individuals putting at risk our visitors, staff, volunteers or artworks will not be admitted or will be asked to leave.

  • We’re working to keep you safe, but we can’t guarantee you won’t be exposed to COVID-19. By entering Heide, you assume the risk of such exposure.
