BrassaïSecret Paris
Brassaï: Secret Paris explores the work of the celebrated photographer Brassaï, whose images reveal the hidden poetry of everyday life and offer a fascinating visual journey into Paris in the 1930s.
This education resource introduces key themes in the exhibition, including photography and storytelling, modernism, Surrealism, portraiture, graffiti, artistic influence and observation. Drawing on exhibition texts, catalogue essays and curatorial insights, it provides students with an overview of Brassaï’s life, work and creative practice.
The resource features exhibition highlights, discussion questions and classroom activities designed to support critical thinking and visual literacy. Students are encouraged to explore how photography can document, transform and interpret the world around us, both in the museum and back in the classroom.
