Watch These Hands brings together nine artists whose creative practices are deeply rooted in custodianship, connection to Country, community, and intergenerational knowledge. Developed through time spent on Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung land at Garambi Baanj Cultural Precinct, the works in the exhibition explore cultural landscapes, collaborative storytelling, and the importance of plants—asking how we can all act as responsible custodians for generations to come.
Artists: Aboubakar Fofana (Mali/France); Siri Hayes (Naarm/Melbourne); Aunty Kim Wandin (Wurundjeri); Brooke Wandin (Wurundjeri); Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung Cultural Heritage Aboriginal Corporation’s Narrap (Country) Unit, including Edwards Mullins, Damian Nicholson and Ash Firebrace; Uncle Badger Bates (Barkandji); Zena Zada Cumpston (Barkandji); Margaret Rarru Garrawurra (Liyagawumirr); Helen Ganalmirriwuy (Ḻiyagawumirr Garrawurra); Jennifer Roy Dikarr Malarra; and Maddison Miller (Darug)
