As part of the museum’s fortieth anniversary program, Heide II: House of Light recreates McGlashan and Everist’s iconic modernist building as it was in 1968, then the newly completed home of John and Sunday Reed. The exhibition is based on archival photographs taken by Wolfgang Sievers and features artworks from the Reeds’ personal collection that they later donated to Heide. Included in the display is the original furniture designed by the architect David McGlashan, which has recently been restored with the support of the Copland Foundation.
