This round table discussion will involve a panel of artists and writers in conversation about key themes of the art of Janet Burchill and Jennifer McCamley and their current exhibition Temptation to Co-Exist. Topics will include approaches to modernism, critique and appreciation, political ideas, social critique and how it manifests, as well as cinematic traces, influences, and affects. Moderated by Curator Sue Cramer, the discussion will take place around the Burchill and McCamley sculpture Barbara Hepworth Two Colour Table 2006, which the artists have described as a ‘social sculpture’, a place for conversation and shared experience.

Panel members include Dr Justin Clemens, Associate Professor in the School of Culture and Communication at the University of Melbourne, Dr Sophie Knezic, writer, academic and visual artist, George Egerton-Warburton, contemporary artist, and exhibiting artists Janet Burchill and Jennifer McCamley.
