Stream 1: For adults living with dementia and their carers
Join qualified art therapist Tanis Douglas in Heide’s beautiful gardens, sculpture park and galleries for life-enhancing small group activities that facilitate interpersonal connections. Each session includes art therapy utilising nature-based materials in a workshop setting and is adapted to best suit individual needs and bridge any barriers. Participants will experience the emotional and social joys of being with others in a welcoming environment.
Art therapist Tanis Douglas is trained in integrating art and psychology and sees all program participants as respected collaborators, assisting them to express themselves and access their creativity.
$60 per session
Members and Manningham Residents: $40 per session
Ticket price includes entry for one adult living with dementia and their carer. Sessions run for 90 minutes. Bookings are strictly limited. Entry guaranteed by booked ticket only.
Stream 2: For carers of adults living with dementia
Join qualified art therapist Tanis Douglas in a dedicated session combining art therapy and guided engagement with Heide’s current exhibitions. These nurturing sessions aim to provide mindfulness, creative activity, and social connection and are open to all carers for adults living with dementia.
Cost: $35 per person per session
Members and Manningham Residents $25 per person
Sessions run for 2 hours. Bookings are strictly limited. Entry guaranteed by booked ticket only.
