Playing a vital role in the daily operations of the Museum, volunteers are valued members of the Heide team. In supporting the Museum, volunteers have the opportunity to become part of the Heide community and form a deeper connection with inspiring art, architecture and landscape.

We are currently recruiting volunteers for our Visitor Services and Garden Programs.

Volunteer Information Evening

Applications must be submitted by Monday 9 March 2020. Shortlisted applicants will be invited to attend a group interview in mid-March.

Successful applicants will undertake two days compulsory training on Wednesday 15 April and Saturday 18 April 2020 and will commence volunteering in late April.

Visitor Services
Volunteers participate in the daily activities of the museum; providing courteous and comprehensive information to visitors whilst invigilating in the galleries.

Education
Volunteers support the delivery of our education programs and events which provide a bridge between Heide and school audiences. Time spent volunteering with schools at Heide can be accredited towards the renewal of VIT registration.

Gardens
Volunteers assist in the routine maintenance and presentation of key areas of our grounds, including the Heide I gardens, Heide II kitchen garden, the Rose Walk and the sculpture park.

Public Programs
Volunteers support the delivery of our public programs by providing high quality tours of the exhibitions, Heide history, gardens and sculpture park.

*Please note, you must be 18 years or older to volunteer at Heide.
