Train (Hurstbridge line) to Heidelberg station and bus #291 to Heide.
Disembark at Helmet sculpture, corner Bridge Street and Manningham Road.
Walk to Heide through Banksia Park, via pedestrian path.
By Bicycle
Heide is conveniently located next to Banksia Park on the Main Yarra Trail. From Westerfolds Park in Templestowe, this 33km bike trail passes ancient gums and billabongs before ending at Southbank. With a flat grade and good quality track, this trail makes for an enjoyable experience and a truly ‘green’ way to travel to Heide. See the Main Yarra Trail map map for more details.
