Exhibition tours

Students are guided through current exhibitions with the Education Officer or a Volunteer Guide, with the emphasis on group discussion and critical thinking.

Acting as a facilitator, the Education Officer/Guide will assist students to: respond to specific works of art; raise issues; and think critically about the formal qualities, meanings and messages of artworks.

These tours give students an opportunity to: improve language and listening skills; utilise and extend their art vocabulary; share different points of view; think critically; make connections between art and other disciplines or contexts; and improve their cultural awareness.

Current exhibitions at Heide Museum of Modern Art

Suitable for primary or secondary students of all disciplines.
Recommended duration: 45 minutes to one hour.
