Sculpture Park tours

Heide’s 16 acre site comprises 35 contemporary outdoor sculptures and a centuries old river red gum tree, which is of local and Aboriginal significance.

The sculpture trail is a great opportunity for students to: encounter public sculpture; compare the working methods and techniques of modern sculptors; consider issues relevant to outdoor art, such as media, site specificity and scale; as well as gain inspiration for their own artwork.

Teachers can self-guide or book a guided tour of the Sculpture Park. The guided tours focus on discussion of six to eight sculptures in detail. Online discovery sheets are available for download as complementary activities.
