Immersion days
Students immerse themselves in Heide’s unique environment and experience a range of activities that relate to art, design, history and the environment.Teachers can choose three to four activities from the list below, providing students with a comprehensive overview of both art and the Heide site.
- Heide I (original weatherboard home of John and Sunday Reed)
- Heide II (award-winning modernist home of the Reeds) Note: closed for climate control upgrade until 1 July 2008
- Kitchen Garden
- Sculpture Park
- Scar tree & Wurundjeri history
- Reflection/response session in the Sidney Myer Education Centre
- Art exhibition
- Art-making workshop
It is recommended that teachers book in for approximately four hours and have a picnic lunch on-site.
