In 1963 the architectural firm McGlashan and Everist was commissioned to design a new modernist residence for John and Sunday Reed on the Heide property. Known as Heide II, the award-winning house was the Reeds’ home until 1980, when they sold it to Victorian State Government to create a public gallery. McGlashan and Everist was re-engaged to transform the building for its new purpose. Join John Lee co-director of McGlashan Everist and Heide Board Director for an insightful discussion on the Heide II’s transition from a private to public space.
