Site Conduct and Regulations

  • Please do not touch any of works of art on display in the exhibition spaces.
  • Please do not climb of the sculptures in the park – they are works of art.
  • Sketching of art works is permitted, using pencils only.
  • Photography and video filming are not permitted inside the exhibition spaces. A permit is required for commercial photography in the grounds and a fee is applicable.
  • Food and drink is not permitted in the exhibition spaces.
  • Please refrain from using mobile phones in the exhibition spaces.
  • There are limited cloaking facilities available. Please refrain from bringing large bags as they will not be permitted into the exhibition spaces. All items left unattended are done so at the owner's risk.
  • Dogs are permitted in the grounds provided they remain on a leash and owners clean up after them.
  • Smoking is not permitted anywhere on the property.


Heide staff have the right to work in a safe environment free from rude or threatening behaviour. The police may be asked to prosecute any visitor acting in a violent or abusive way.

For the safety and security of visitors, staff and artworks, CCTV is in operation throughout the Heide buildings.

If you have any questions during your visit, please do not hesitate to ask a Visitor Services staff member, who will be happy to assist.
